A clump of light quickly cuts through the dark night sky, brightening it up.
This is an asteroid captured on the outskirts of Berlin, Germany in the early morning of the 21st.
This asteroid, named ‘2024 BX 1’ by the International Astronomical Union, was reportedly discovered just a few hours before falling to Earth.
Fortunately, it entered the Earth’s atmosphere and burned up as it passed over eastern Germany.
According to foreign media, this is the 8th time an asteroid has been discovered just before colliding with Earth.
In response, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration explained that there are countless small asteroids that threaten the Earth, but they are very faint before they approach the Earth, and they can only be detected when the observation point and direction are matched.
