Measles Alert: Dulles-Reagan Airport Incident and Prevention Measures

Authorities issued an emergency alert following discovering that a foreigner infected with measles entered the country through Virginia Dulles International Airport and moved to another state through Reagan Airport.

According to an announcement from the Virginia Department of Health, a person infected with measles stayed at Dulles Airport’s arrival hall, customs inspection area, baggage arrival hall, and terminal from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday the 3rd. I was at Reagan Airport between 2:30 and 6:30 pm on the 4th (Thursday).

The Virginia Department of Health is conducting an epidemiological investigation of the passengers on the plane accompanying the infected person and an unspecified number of people encountered along the route.
