Senegalese family killed in Denver: a new twist!

One of them pleaded guilty. One of the teenager Gavin Seymour, 19, charged in the arson of August 5, 2020, which killed five members of a Senegalese family from Denver, pleaded guilty in this case, according to information from Les Echos.

Under a plea agreement, he faces between 16 and 40 years in prison when he is sentenced on March 15. The source recalls two other teenagers, Kevin Bui and Dillon Siebert were accused of setting the fire in the middle of the night, killing Djibril Ndiol and his family.

The same source adds that three other people escaped by jumping from the 2nd floor of the house. Indeed, Siebert, who was 14 years old at the time of the events, turned 17 last February when he was sentenced to 3 years of juvenile detention.

The arson attack which took away an entire young Senegalese family living in Denver had moved the whole world. The young Djibril Diol, his wife, his sister, his daughter and his niece perished in the fire that was set in their home. The three teenagers suspected of having killed the Diol family in a fire set the house on fire by mistake.

Indeed, Gavin Seymour and Kevin Bui, aged 16, as well as the 15-year-old suspect, were involved in a drug deal gone wrong. Duped by another gang, during an exchange of goods, they were tasked with avenging their side by burning down the house of those who duped them.
