Gaza: Since declaring war on Hamas on October 7, Israel has only killed between 20 and 30 percent of its fighters, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

U.S. intelligence estimates that Hamas had between 25,000 and 30,000 fighters in Israel before the war. It is also said that there are more than 1,000 members of the border police force and others, found from drone surveillance and Israeli intelligence.

The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. intelligence sources, estimates that between 5,000 and 9,000 fighters have been killed and between 10,500 and 11,700 wounded.

The rest of the fighters are said to have taken over the duties of their lost colleagues and are working two or three jobs.

According to the report, Hamas intends to restore its police force in Gaza City.

According to Israeli figures, Hamas has more than 30,000 fighters. Of these, 9,000 were killed in battle and 1,000 in raids, according to Israel.

Israel claims that more than 16,000 fighters were injured and half of them might no longer continue on the battlefield.

At the same time, the US also points to the failure of Israel, which started the war three months ago with the aim of destroying Hamas. The United States has repeatedly pointed out that Israel should develop strategies that target the organization’s top leaders instead of just targeting Hamas fighters.

Earlier, Israel withdrew thousands of troops from Gaza, including Israel’s main military force, the Golani Brigade. International political observers believe that this move is an open admission of defeat in the war.
