Text: Kieran Harris – Gamereactor.cnBandai Namco has announced that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition will be released on Nintendo Switch on July 11th. The Deluxe Edition includes many expansion packs and bonus content previously released for other platforms. However, we don’t know yet if there are any Switch-specific features in this version.
Four expansion packs are not included at launch, namely the Original Aircraft Series Pack, the Experimental Aircraft Series Pack, the Cutting-Edge Aircraft Series Pack, and the Top Gun: Maverick Aircraft Pack. These will be released at a later date – but no idea if they will be free.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in early 2019 and sold over 5 million copies last November. That number will likely get a big boost when the game comes to Switch this summer.
The next game in the series is also developed by Bandai Namco Ace and created using the powerful game engine Unreal Engine 5. You can watch the Switch trailer for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown below.
