The British Daily Mail reported that an American technology company in India recently held an anniversary event. Unexpectedly, when the CEO and president were lowered from the sky in an iron cage to perform, the iron chain suddenly broke and the two fell from a height of more than 4.5 meters in full view of the public. The CEO was pronounced dead following resuscitation, while the president was seriously injured and is still being treated. Employees off-site also happened to take photos of the hair-raising moment.
The entire fall occurred in Hyderabad, central India, when the American technology software company Vistex was holding a 25th anniversary event. 56-year-old CEO Sanjay Shah and President Raju Datla rode in an iron cage from The top of the stage was lowered while shouting for the audience to applaud enthusiastically. Unexpectedly, one of the chains suspending the cage suddenly broke, causing the two people to fall directly from a height of 15 feet (nearly 4.8 meters) onto the concrete stage.
Employees who witnessed the tragedy said Shah and Datra were responsible for the opening act, which was supposed to kick off the commemoration. The video shows that the special effects were sparkling in the audience and the employees cheered enthusiastically. Unexpectedly, tragedy occurred the next second.
Shah founded Vistex in 1999 and now has 20 branches around the world with more than 2,000 employees.
Sources pointed out that Shah is a philanthropist who established the Vistex Foundation in the past to provide funds for non-profit organizations in the fields of health, education and basic needs. Now he died unexpectedly, leaving only his wife and two daughters, which is sad.
