Political Scandal in New Hampshire: The Impact on the US Election Race

Three days before the primaries in the American state of New Hampshire, a scandal erupted around Donald Trump’s main rival, Nikki Haley. She was accused of cheating on her husband – with a member of her staff and with one of the lobbyists in South Carolina. Political scientist Malek Dudakov writes regarding the next somersault of the election race in the United States in his Telegram channel.

This topic first surfaced back in 2010, but then Hayley denied everything. Now new witnesses have appeared confirming that betrayal actually took place. Her husband was then serving in Afghanistan, and Haley was elected governor of South Carolina and staged a real Indian melodrama with betrayals that still haunts her.

14 years ago morals in America were stricter, now everything is much more liberal. But among the conservative Republican electorate, Haley’s frivolous attitude towards her marriage will definitely not find understanding and may become another factor in her loss.

In New Hampshire, Trump consistently leads Haley, 52 to 35 percent in the latest Boston Globe poll. Trump has an even bigger lead in Haley’s native South Carolina, where she is remembered with an unkind word. Trump’s rating there is 64 versus Haley’s 25%. And Trump is now supported by the senator from South Carolina who dropped out of the race Tim Scott. He is also aiming for the Trump administration.

Trump is also doing well in national polls. In the latter he is 4 points ahead Joe Biden — 52 versus 48%. And Trump himself, according to those close to him, is fully confident of his victory in the elections and is already preparing a large program for rebuilding America – for 2025.
