Digital Touch (CEO Jeong Seong-heon) collaborated with Untold Tales on the 19th to release a digital version of ‘The Cub’ exclusively for PlayStation (PS) 4 and 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Demagog Studio, this is a platform parkour game that takes inspiration from classic Sega games of the 90s such as The Jungle Book, Aladdin, and The Lion King, but adds modern twists and ideas.

The background of the game is Earth, which is in an apocalyptic state where most of humanity has been wiped out except for a few extremely wealthy people who have left for Mars due to an ecological catastrophe. Decades following the catastrophe, when young children with immunity to the cruel environment are discovered among the remaining humans on Earth, the Martians return to Earth for reconnaissance purposes and attempt to capture these children, calling them ‘Cub’. The player takes on the role of a child targeted by Martians and must escape pursuit.

Players can explore historical sites left behind by Mother Nature and discover stories and clues regarding the process of humanity’s downfall. From collapsing steel buildings and abandoned genetics labs to degraded chemical mines and battlefields covered in wild grass, every location has its own story.

During the journey, you can listen to ‘Radio Nostalgia From Mars’, in which a soft-voiced radio DJ tells the stories of the few extremely wealthy people living on Mars along with gentle apocalyptic wave melodies.

The company also conducts a launching promotion where products can be purchased at a discounted price for each platform. PS4 and 5 will be sold at 12,900 won, a 33% discount, until the 26th, and Nintendo Switch will be sold until the 8th of next month. Additionally, users who already own the Nintendo Switch game ‘Golf Club Nostalgia’ released by the same developer can purchase ‘The Cup’ at a 50% discount.
