Avatar: The Last Airbender Live Action Series Cast and Premiere Date on Netflix

It is one of the series most loved by cartoon lovers. ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ premiered almost 20 years ago on Nickelodeon and, to this day, it continues to add fans to its ranks.

In that sense, it was not surprising that the news regarding its new adaptation into a series live action It will cause excitement and at the same time skepticism among its fans. This, especially following the departure of the original creators of the project and the box office failure of the film released in 2010.

The good news is that, following 6 years of production, the adaptation live action of the series already has a premiere date. As Netflix announced, the first season will be available from February 22 this year on its platform.

Cast of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’

In August 2021, it was revealed for the first time who would play the four main characters: Gordon Cormier (The Stand and Lost in Space) will be Aang, the avatar and last airbender; Saint Vincent (Beans and Anne with an E)will be the teacher water Katara; Ian Ousley (13 Reasons Why) will be his brother Sokka, also from the Southern Water Tribe; and Dallas Liu (Tekken and Underdog Kids) will be Prince Zuko, of the Fire Nation.

Added to them Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five‑0; Lost), who will take on the role of Fire Lord Ozai. Paul Sun Hyung Lee (Kim’s Convenience; The Mandalorian) will be General Iroh, Prince Zuko’s uncle; Lim Kay Siu (Ana and the King) will be Gyatso, airbender and Aang’s mentor; and Ken Leung (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will be Commander Zhao of the Fire Nation.
