In the upcoming Black History Month, Apple has launched a new Black Unity series of Watch straps and watch faces. Its design is inspired by the tenacity and vitality of the black community, bringing a new visual design. The blooming flowers and bright colors visible in the new Black Unity series straps represent the spirit of Pan-Africanism and symbolize the joint efforts of different generations to resolve injustice and remove institutional barriers.
Unique strap design
The Black Unity sports band for Apple Watch uses red, green, and yellow colors to depict a flower totem in an abstract way. Inspired by the rich and diverse culture of black communities around the world, Apple uses a unique layering technique on the flowers to create subtle variations in the design of each strap to ensure each strap is unique.
