An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 occurred on Friday around 3:30 a.m. south of Waidring (Kitzbühel district) in Tyrol. As the Austrian Seismological Service (Geosphere Austria) reported, the tremors were sometimes clearly felt in the area of the epicenter. Some people described the tremors as thundering or rumbling from the ground. With this thickness, very slight damage, such as cracks in the plaster, cannot be ruled out.
The night before there had been two earthquakes in the border triangle of Tyrol, Bavaria and Salzburg, with magnitudes of 2.2 and 3.3.
