Al-Marsad newspaper: A journalist interrupted the speech of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers and Envoy for Climate Affairs, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, and asked him regarding the details of Saudi Arabia’s negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Al-Jubeir responded, saying: “This is something between us and them, and we will do that, and I will not go into details with you regarding this, with all due respect, I am not authorized to give you the details of what is happening now.”
This came during Al-Jubeir’s participation in a dialogue session entitled: “Bold steps towards sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa region,” on the sidelines of the Davos Forum 2024:
Al-Jubeir said that the Kingdom has a large stock of uranium. He continued: “We want to benefit from it economically, and we do not want other parties to take or transfer our resources outside the Kingdom.”
Regarding nuclear energy… Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir:
– It’s very simple. We have enormous uranium resources and we will use them
– Not just oil and gas. We will sell you all types of energy
– We want to create jobs and industry in the Kingdom. Is this illogical?
