We now have information regarding the Xiaomi models that might receive the update with the HyperOS operating system in January. We recently put together a more detailed list of devices from brands associated with the Chinese giant that will likely get the update during the first half of 2024. On this occasion, internal builds on Xiaomi’s servers have revealed which models will experience the improvement.
The Xiaomiui portal has announced which are the eight Xiaomi phones that will be able to update to HyperOS in January of this year. Don’t think that the download comes alone; Users will have the benefits of the Android 14 operating system. There is no loss, so it is best to check right now if your cell phone is ready to download.
Please note that there is no exact date for downloading HyperOS. The first approach with the customization layer will occur in Mi Pilot, Xiaomi’s program to test the beta versions of its exclusive software. After the checks, the system should be ready for download.

The phones that will not update to HyperOS
While we wait for announcements from the company, there is a list of computers that would not update to HyperOS for technical reasons. According to Xiaomi, “Security updates generally include the latest security patches, security vulnerability fixes, and other security improvements. Typically, we will maintain security updates for at least two years following the first shipment of a given device model.”
