Zelensky asks NATO for more air defense systems – news

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday asked NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to send air defense systems to Ukraine to counter Russian air attacks.

Through a message on social media, Zelensky wrote regarding the meeting held in Davos with Stoltenberg, to whom he conveyed the need to reinforce Ukrainian air defense “following the latest Russian air strikes once morest regions of Ukraine, as well as other military emergencies” from Kiev. .

Zelensky began contacts yesterday as part of the World Economic Forum summit in Davos, Switzerland.

The Ukrainian President and the head of the Atlantic Alliance also discussed the security agreement signed by Kiev and London last week.

“I informed him regarding Ukraine’s work with partners on similar agreements and stressed the importance of signing these documents that will remain in force until Ukraine joins NATO,” Zelensky noted.

The NATO summit will be held in Washington this summer, where Ukraine hopes to make further progress towards NATO membership.
