The Volvo Cars plant in Ghent will build more than 230,000 vehicles in 2023

The Ghent factory assembles Volvo’s main electric models: the XC40 and C40, as well as the slightly older V60 and V60CC models. In 2023, 230,527 cars will roll off its assembly line.

Production of the XC40 Recharge (fully electric and hybrid) notably increased last year, reaching 88,137 vehicles, which represents more than 38% of the Ghent company’s total production. The C40 Recharge was manufactured in the amount of 35,306 vehicles, or 15% of the entire production.

The fully electric EX30 model will also be assembled in Ghent from 2025.
