AIndian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah is a person who lost his father at a young age. Businessman Jasbir’s death was unexpected. With this, the family including Bumrah, his mother Daljit and his sister Juhika got into a crisis. From there, mother Daljit built her children’s lives. The family’s financial source was the salary of Daljit, who joined Nirman High School in Ahmedabad as a teacher. They gave all their support to Bumrah who started playing cricket from the age of six. Over the years, Bumrah has become a regular presence in the Indian team.
Bumrah got married to sports anchor Sanjana Ganesan following his successful cricket career. The marriage was in March 2021. The baby was born to both of them on September 4, 2023. The baby was named Angad. Bumrah is now enjoying all the joys of being a father. Bumrah says that life has changed a lot following becoming a father and responsibility has also increased. Bumrah also shared an emotional note on Instagram along with an old picture of his father.
“We have always felt the emptiness of not having a father in our lives. It was only when I became a father that I realized what a father felt like and what I was missing in life. When we remember my father with happy memories, we wish that he was with us’ – says Bumrah in an Instagram post. Along with the note, Bumrah also shared a picture of his father holding him when he was a baby.
Bumrah’s wife Sanjana has commented below this. Sanjana’s comment was ‘He is always with you as your shadow’.
