Mona Ratuliu and Indra Brasco are still struggling to build their dream home. The house which was originally targeted to be completed in 6 months has now entered the process for 3 years.

The couple did not deny that they were annoyed and mightn’t wait to live in the house. Even so, they still have to be patient living in an apartment.

“It’s not finished yet, I’m annoyed,” said Mona Ratuliu when met in the Transmedia area, South Jakarta, yesterday.

Mona Ratuliu tells the reason why they have now decided to move home. Initially, Mona Ratuliu, who lived in an apartment with her three children, had more residents.

“At that time, Balint, my nephew, was with me. So my mother had to live together. So we had 10 people in our small apartment,” said Mona Ratuliu.

The house renovation was started by Mona Ratuliu and Indra Brasco during the COVID-19 pandemic around 2021. Mona Ratuliu felt that if it didn’t start, the house would not be according to their wishes.

“At first the target was just 6 months for renovations, the important thing is that it can be entered first, it can be left. If there is something that wants to be renovated once more, let’s see later. But, it turns out there are a lot of things, all of this, all of that is being improved, all kinds of things, so now it’s almost done. entering third year,” he said.

“So at that time the apartment was no longer ideal for 10 people to live in, there wasn’t a lot of money in savings either. I just thought that if we didn’t start (renovating the house) and it ended up not being finished, it would be better to start,” said Mona Ratuliu.

Mona Ratuliu and Indra Brasco did not insist on continuing development. When finances don’t allow it, Mona Ratuliu and Indra Brasco will stop their house building activities first.

“For example, if you are building a house and the money runs out, then just stop. If you have money then continue,” said Mona Ratuliu.

Mona Ratuliu is grateful that good fortune has come. He and Indra Brasco still have jobs playing soap operas.

“Thank God, good fortune has been provided. It’s called a person being chased by a fast running dog,” he joked, laughing.

“Thank God, the intention was to have a decent place to live for my mother, for the children, and thank God there was a continuous flow of good fortune, so we continued (the process of renovating the house),” said Mona Ratuliu.
