The episode ofIndefensible broadcast on Wednesday January 17 revealed to the public the temporary departure of the lawyer from the firm. Marie-Anne is indeed leaving Quebec to fly to Costa Rica, where she will participate in a retreat focused on well-being. She will leave behind her lover, her new home and her work which seemed to absorb all her last energies.

Although she informed Maxime of her departure for a period of four weeks, the question of whether she will extend her stay remains unanswered. Four weeks may seem short for someone in so much pain. Only time will tell if Marianne will extend her stay, but her absence from the Lapointe-MacDonald-Desjardins cabinet will certainly have a significant impact, leaving a palpable void.
