Os AirPods Apple’s third-generation devices received a new firmware update. In this sense, the update arrives around 1 month since the last time a firmware was made available for the devices and brings some improvements, although Apple has not provided any specific details regarding what they are.

The update brings the version 6A321 to the headphones, while the previous one was the 6A317. For now, the page in Portuguese regarding the release of new firmware variants has not been updated, but Apple says it has also implemented some bug fixes, in addition to improvements.

If you want to know what version your Airpods are, just connect it to an iPhone or iPad and go to settings. Then, search for the area corresponding to the device, which is normally displayed prominently and is just below the Apple ID information. The way “Settings, General, About and AirPods” can also be used to check your current firmware.

The update, in turn, can be done by placing the cell phone or tablet to charge and then using the headphones, with the update being installed automatically. Other than that, they usually update themselves during use, following being connected to the iPhone or iPad. In other words, there is no way to install it manually.
