In the case of the teaching union, it will take the proposal to Congress Extraordinary that there is still no date to analyze “the payment of non-remunerative and non-rewardable fixed sums, but with differentiated amounts according to the seniority scale.”
Unter assured that “unlike the two previous proposals” this new offer proposes differentiated sums according to teaching seniority and «although the offer made by the Ministry changed noticeably, it is not the type of salary proposal that we need “education workers face the loss of purchasing power that we have suffered – and continue to suffer – in our salaries.”
The teaching union explained that «the payment of bonuses is not a salary recomposition; the proposal is by agent and not by position; and although it offers differentiated amounts according to the seniority scale, it continues to flatten the salary pyramid.
For ATE, this proposal “is closer to a recomposition in accordance with the loss of purchasing power.” with a criterion of equity between the categories and ranks of the state, which was our demand,” said Secretary General Rodrigo Vicente.
He affirmed that the offer will be transferred to the union’s organic spheres for approval or rejection and said that this proposal “guarantees a safe recomposition in February, something that we had begun to doubt” and highlighted the meeting of February 23 in a new joint meeting.
InsteadUPCN stated that «We need increases determined in percentage that equate the loss of purchasing power of salaries that has been systematically deteriorating.
He also showed his disagreement with the call date for February, since “it should be as soon as inflation is known” to “review the amount they proposed today given that “A fixed amount today is not the same as a month from now, deteriorated by inflation.”
