CCTV News: On January 17, according to the “Shanghai Release” WeChat public account, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. introduced that the Yangtze River Delta Railway’s 2024 Spring Festival Transport Plan was recently released. It is expected to send 89 million passengers in the 40 days of Spring Festival Transport. An average of 2.225 million passengers were sent, an increase of 18.7% compared with the same period in 2019, a record high. The Yangtze River Delta Railway Department plans to operate 369.5 additional pairs of passenger trains on the basis of the peak operation chart to actively cope with the large passenger flow during the Spring Festival travel season.
The 2024 Railway Spring Festival Transport will start from January 26 and end on March 5, 15 days before the festival and 25 days following the festival, a total of 40 days. During this year’s Spring Festival, passengers’ willingness to travel is stronger than in previous years. To this end, the Yangtze River Delta Railway Department has further increased transport capacity supply and tried its best to meet passenger travel needs.
According to reports, 15 days before the festival, passenger traffic in the Shanghai-Ningbo-Hangzhou area is concentrated; Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Beijing-Hong Kong High-speed Railway, Xu-Lanzhou High-speed Railway, Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, Zhengfu High-speed Railway, Ning-Rong Railway, Hangzhou-Shenzhen Railway and other direct-to-large trunk lines and Shanghai High-speed rail lines within the pipeline such as Nanjing-Ningbo Intercity Railway, Nanjing-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, and Hezhou-Hangzhou High-speed Railway will usher in large passenger flows; Shanghai, Nanjing, Xuzhou, Hefei, Fuyang, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Nantong, Yiwu, Jinhua, Suzhou, Lianyungang, Huangshan and other places The railway station will also receive short-term heavy passenger flow.
