X JAPAN’s YOSHIKI (age unknown) updated his X on the 17th. Along with a link to an article regarding how his beloved crystal piano, which he put up for sale at a charity auction to support areas affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, was sold for 40 million yen, he wrote, “As I always say, if you can bear it mentally, it’s better to make your charity public.” “It will expand the circle of support. I’m sure there will be some slander as well,” he said, hoping that the circle of support would expand.
YOSHIKI has already donated 10 million yen himself. On the 9th of this month (10th Japan time), I attended a ceremony to unveil the completed handprints and footprints engraved in the plaza in front of the TCL Chinese Theater movie theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA. He announced that he would auction off his beloved crystal piano for charity and donate all proceeds to help the victims of the disaster.
The charity auction, which started at 11:59 pm on the 11th of this month, had over 30 million yen in bids by the morning of the 13th. The amount rose until just before the end, and was finally settled at 40 million yen. To his own was spelling.
Followers commented on the post, “If you can bear it mentally,” these words convey #YOSHIKI’s hard work and determination up until now,” and “Even if there is slander,
We received comments such as, “YOSHIKI who continues to do this is the pride of all his fans,” and “I’m sure there are many people, including myself, who are taking steps to support YOSHIKI because of his announcement.”
