FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The Fargo Air Museum added a new exhibit honoring the early years of the North Dakota Air National Guard. Marking the 77th anniversary of the first plane given to the state. The exhibit showcases the infancy years of the group.
The museum knew people would be intrigued by the history of it, but were happily surprised to see many show up for the occasion. Max Sabin, who is the collections manager at the museum, says it means a lot to have this new exhibit in house.
“We wanted to do an exhibit that focused on their early years,” said Sabin. “Specifically the first airplane being delivered which was actually 77 years ago today. Which is a pretty interesting milestone considering in 77 years they’ve gone from propeller driven airplanes to high tech, multi-million dollar drones.”
According to Sabin, this has been a two-year project to get the research done for the exhibit.
