The famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said today in a post on Medium that to Apple intends to show more details regarding the development of applications for the visionOS during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year.
If this really happens (and it most likely will), according to him, the company should take the Vision Pro to more markets before June — which is when the event should take place.
The decision to launch its mixed reality (AR/VR) headset only in the United States at this launch, according to the analyst, was made by Apple for three reasons: the limited stock of devices, the guarantee that the launch will take place in the smoothest way possible and the need to adapt the headset’s algorithms to local legislation.
If everything goes according to plan, however, it is expected that Apple will take Vision Pro to other countries and regions in the coming months, in order to facilitate work with developers during WWDC24. This would also allow Apple to promote visionOS’s global advancements in software development during the big event.
It is worth noting that journalist Mark Gurman, from Bloomberghe even said in one of the editions of his newsletter “Power On” that expanding Vision Pro availability might not be that far away. According to the most recent rumors, Apple would be considering taking it to the United Kingdomo Canada it’s at China right away. There is, of course, no indication yet that the company intends to launch it in Brazil.
With its launch scheduled for February 2 nd in the US, the Apple Vision Pro will cost from US$3.500 with 256GB of storage. The online pre-sale of the device, however, will begin this Friday (19/1).
