Several automakers updated their price lists at the beginning of 2024. One of them is Renault, which produces the cheapest new car in Brazil in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná. We’re talking regarding the Renault Kwid, which now costs more than R$70,000 in the most basic version, the Zen.
According to Exam, The Renault Kwid Zen has stability and traction controls, air conditioning, electric front windows, four airbags and a radio with Bluetooth included in the basic package. In this version it is currently sold for R$71,190, and in 2023 its price would be below R$70,000.
The second cheapest zero kilometer in Brazil is the Fiat Mobi for R$71,990, while third place is the Citroën C3 for R$72,990. Next we have the Pegeout 208 for R$73,990, while better-known models such as the Chevrolet Onix, Fiat Argo, Hyundai HB20 and Volkswagen Polo now cost more than R$80,000.

Despite the high price, the expectation is that sales of electric and hybrid cars will increase by 60% in 2024 with increased investment by automakers such as BYD in national production, which should reduce the cost of vehicles currently produced with imported parts.
