A corpse was found inside an irrigation canalin what would be a new homicide in Maipu.
The discovery was made by a pedestrian and occurred in the area of Lo Errázuriz with Los Pajaritos.
Carabineros Colonel Gonzalo Urbina indicated that the complaint was received following 7:00 a.m. this Tuesday.
He added that the body would present injuries attributable to third parties and it is unknown if the crime occurred at the scene, if the body was thrown there or if it was dragged by the waters of the canal.
Finally, he added that the investigation will be carried out by Homicide Brigade and the PDI Criminalistics Laboratory.
This is the second discovery of a body in less than 24 hours in the commune, following a murder that occurred yesterday on Machicura Street.
