Company Ubisoft announced regarding global changes in the subscription system Ubisoft+. New tariff Ubisoft+ Premium with a huge catalog of games and early access to new releases will appear on PC, Xbox and Luna for $17.99 per month. And the tariff Ubisoft+ Classics is now available for PC players for $7.99 per month.
In conversation with GamesIndustry.biz Director of Subscriptions at Ubisoft Philippe Tremblay toldthat since the initial launch Uplay+ in September 2019, the service attracted millions of subscribers. Moreover, 10% of them had never played the company’s games before. October 2023 was the most successful month for Ubisoft+ in history.
The company offers players different ways to access content. And while buying games remains the dominant business model, Tremblay is confident that the subscription service has enormous growth potential. But the development of envy means that customers must get used to the fact that the games they play do not belong to them.
Ubisoft also announced that it is working on adding games to the subscription catalog Activision Blizzard. But there is no information yet regarding when they might appear there.
