A horrific case of infant abuse occurred in Malaysia. When a 6-month-old baby boy came back from his nanny’s home, his mother found that his body was covered with bite marks, and some of the wounds were even bleeding. It was suspected that the baby boy was bitten by the nanny’s 3-year-old child. After the incident was exposed, in addition to triggering heated discussions among local people, the police also intervened in the investigation.

According to a report by Malaysia’s “China News”, the baby boy’s mother recently posted an article on the Facebook group “Kluang Hari Ini” (Kluang Hari Ini), accusing the nanny and her child of abusing the two children she entrusted to take care of, including her 6-month-old son. The injuries were the most serious, with obvious bite marks on the abdomen and back.

The mother said that following examination, it was confirmed that there were 8 obvious wounds on her son’s body. Many parts of his body were bitten red, bleeding and leaving obvious teeth marks. Some of the wounds were even large, deep and bleeding. The eldest son, who was cared for by the same nanny, even told her that he saw his younger brother being bitten.

The mother also said that she had reason to believe that her eldest son was not lying because he had scratches on his face the size of an adult’s finger when he came back. He felt very scared and had a constant fever following returning home. The younger son, who was more seriously injured and had more wounds, naturally might not escape the fate of developing a fever following being injured. Now, in addition to seeking justice, she also hopes that her two sons will recover quickly.

The mother emphasized that she never thought that “the child would be left with the nanny on the first day” and that both of them would come back injured and mentally traumatized. In this regard, the Kluang police confirmed that they had received a report from a woman on the 10th and are currently involved in the investigation.

The police also revealed that the woman who reported the case suspected that her eldest son was abused by an adult and that her younger son was bitten by the nanny’s 3-year-old child. As for the accused nanny, who is in her 20s, she has been summoned to help clarify the case. If the nanny is found guilty of related crimes, she may be sentenced to 20 years in prison or fined 50,000 ringgit (approximately NT$330,000), or both.
