“Challenges and prospects for private education in the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (TTA) region: from resilience to development of the sector”. This is the theme of a meeting planned for Thursday, January 18, in Tetouan. Initiated by the Private Education Commission of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM)-TTA, this new meeting will bring together professionals from private general education (fundamental, college and secondary), education professional and private higher education as well as members of the CGEM from the North branch to discuss current themes and priority subjects for the development of the sector at the national and regional levels. This meeting will constitute the first event organized following the official launch, a few months ago, at the headquarters of the confederation in Tangier, of this commission dedicated to the profession as a whole. It will thus be the best opportunity to “present the results of the commission’s work for the year 2023, to discuss priority subjects in the private education sector and to highlight the challenges to be taken up for the development of the sector “, according to the organizers, noting that as a major event bringing together “the educational ecosystem, this meeting will prove to be a good opportunity to answer the questions and questions of players in the sector.”
Eminent speakers are expected on this occasion to address the main theme of this first assembly of the commission. Two panels are thus planned, the themes of which relate to “Reading standard contract governing the relationship between parents and private schools” and “Support mechanisms for the private education sector”.
Created more precisely on March 27, 2023 in Tangier, the private education commission of the CGEM-TTA aims to be (like other commissions within the CGEM) a space for communication and debate inviting members of the confederation to enrich it with their proposals, their ideas and their actions. As was mentioned during its official launch, the mission of this regional commission is to support players in the sector in order to support and boost the profession in the Northern region, through reflection, encouragement, consultation and the proposal of common solutions. This structure has worked since its creation, thanks to the mobilization of its team members, to better defend the interests of professionals both within Parliament and at the level of public authorities.
