Shivamogga: Karnataka young star with amazing batting performance in Cooch Bihar Trophy. Prakar Chaturvedi scored an unbeaten 404 once morest Mumbai in the U-19 tournament final. It was an extraordinary innings of 638 balls with three straight sixes and 46 fours. It is the first time in the history of the tournament that a player has crossed 400 runs in the final.

Karnataka won the toss and sent Mumbai into bat. Mumbai scored 380 runs in the first innings on the strength of Ayush Mathre’s century (145). While Hardik Raj took four wickets for Karnataka, Indian coach Rahul Dravid’s son Samit Dravid, N. Samarth took two wickets each.

In reply, Karnataka declared by scoring 890 runs for the loss of eight wickets through the innings of Prakar Chaturvedi and Harshil Dharmani who scored 169 runs. Karnataka became champions with a first innings lead of 510 runs.
