Extremely bitter news for all SK Sturm fans: Attacker Seedy Jatta suffered a torn syndesmotic ligament in his ankle during training and had to undergo surgery. The operation will be carried out in Graz this week, and the 20-year-old Norwegian – who scored two goals and an assist in six Bundesliga games in the autumn – will be out indefinitely.

Managing Director Sport Andreas Schicker says: “Seedy Jatta’s injury is extremely bitter news, especially for Seedy himself, who had a lot planned for this spring. He will be operated on in Graz and is in the best hands with our team of doctors and physios. We will give Seedy all the support he needs and are absolutely confident that he will come back strong and bring us a lot of joy in the future!”
