Governments of Senegal 1957-2023: The Complete Journey of the Executive Power

Dakar, Jan 14 (APS) – Journalist Samba Mangane retraces, in a forthcoming work, the journey of members of the different Senegalese governments from 1957 to the present day, APS learned from the author.

The work is entitled ”Governments of Senegal 1957-2023” with the subtitle ”The men and women of the executive power”.

In this publication, Samba Mangane, also a diplomat serving at the Consulate General of Senegal in Lyon (France), looks back on all the Governments of Senegal from May 20, 1957, the colonial era, to December 31, 2023.

According to a note sent to the APS, ”this work retraces the journey of 441 members of the executive power including 81 women who have marked the political development of our country (Presidents, President of the Council, Prime Ministers, Ministers)”.

This reference book, considered a document for the administration, is made up of more than 200 pages perfectly illustrated with photos of different personalities.

The author, who responds to a general request, says he wants to ”allow younger generations to know these men and women who served our country in the highest administration and to pay tribute to them”.

Samba Mangane, a journalist graduated from the Center for the Study of Information Sciences and Techniques (Cesti), the journalism school of the University of Dakar, served for a long time at Radiodiffusion Télévision Sénégalaise (RTS, public).
