The Hague: Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, wants the United Nations to face trial in the international court for serving terrorist organizations.
Erdan was responding to the case filed by South Africa at the International Court of Justice for the crime of genocide.
Israel asked the UN Court of Justice to cancel the case the other day.
Israel has denied the genocide allegations, claiming that Brazil’s attacks were in compliance with international law and that it had a fundamental right to self-defense.
Erdan also accused the UN of cooperating with Hamas following considering South Africa’s accusations.
“The UN should stand trial in an international court for turning a blind eye to creating tunnels of terrorism in Gaza, getting international aid to build missiles and weapons, and teaching murder and hatred,” Erdan said.
Unsatisfied with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ remarks that Hamas’ attacks did not come out of a vacuum, Erdan called for Guterres’ resignation.
Israel also came out once morest former UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon’s statement that the people will always defend the occupation.
