Russia invaded Ukraine more than 22 months ago. The Russian military also regularly shells cities behind the front. Officially, Moscow claims that it is only fighting military targets in its neighboring country.
Three Russian drones shot down
Meanwhile, Russia’s anti-aircraft defense system said it shot down three Ukrainian drones over Russian territory. The drones were intercepted early Thursday morning over the Rostov, Tula and Kaluga regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram. The communications might not be independently verified. There were initially no reports of possible damage or casualties.
In its defensive campaign once morest Russia, Ukraine repeatedly shells Russian territory – both in the border region and in the hinterland. However, the Russian damage or number of victims is disproportionate to the serious consequences of the war in Ukraine.
