One and a half tons of food, hygiene products, zinc sheets, mattresses and a containerized health post were delivered, this Tuesday, to the Dande Municipal Administration, to serve families displaced by the rains and river overflow.
This aid, coming from the company Afritrack Angola, was delivered to the Mabubas administration, with the prospect of, later this week, according to the PCA, Sabena Yohanes, donating another 500 zinc sheets and a bulldozer machine to help subdivide the land where they are located. families were resettled (neighborhood 25).
This gesture was also joined by Self Phone – the official distribution company in Angola of the mobile operator Africell, which offered the provincial government 47 digital and analogue mobile phones, SIM CARDS and telephone top-ups, to be distributed to the coordinators of the affected communities and members of the commissions created, in order to interact with the competent entities, providing the status of victims.
The event promoter Carbura Service holds, on Friday and Saturday, at the Dande municipal stadium, two solidarity shows, to collect donations.
The communal administrator of Mabubas, António Ribeiro, reported that of the total of 220 registered families, 75 from the Cawango neighborhood are already resettled in neighborhood 25, in Mabubas. To date, solidarity actions towards victims have been multiplying in the province. Therefore, several donation collection points were created.
The overflow of the Dande River, in the province of Bengo, affected 600 homes and more than 200 others were destroyed and the rains left more than 200 families homeless, especially in the Cawango neighborhood.
