The public health specialist added that coughing in the winter may be a warning sign of lung cancer, especially if the cough lasts for 3 weeks or more, according to the Mirror website.

She confirmed that a persistent cough becomes a confirmed symptom of the presence of a malignant tumor in the lungs, if the cough is accompanied by blood, poor appetite, weight loss, and chest pain.
