The Government and the CGT further strain the relationship

The relationship between the Government and the CGT is at its worst, full of resentment. And there is nothing to suggest that the situation will change because the parties do not have bridges of contact and, as the days go by, they are in charge of crossing darts. All just days before the general strike on January 24.

Pablo Moyano put into words what had been an open secret for weeks, when the fine print of the mega-DNU with modifications in labor legislation became known: the only way for the force measure to be deactivated is if the Casa Rosada gives cancels the decree and archives the omnibus law. From Azopardo Street they also highlight that the unity of the group “is total” and greater conflict is expected.

In relation to the strike, union sources told PERFIL that they are working to ensure that there is an “orderly” mobilization to Congress with clear slogans. Also, there remains a regional plenary session of transport unions, which will take place on January 17 led by Sergio Sasia, the secretary of the Railway Union, so that the strike has the greatest possible impact throughout the country.

As expected, Milei reacted to Moyano’s statements from X: “There are enemies of the reform. Those who want to change the law so that nothing changes. To maintain your privileges. Look at who is in favor of the change and who is once morest it. Those who are in favor defend the good Argentines. Those who are once morest defend their privileges.”
