Vienna/Premstätten (OTS) – At today’s meeting of the FPÖ federal party executive board, the FPÖ’s first four places on the list for the EU elections on June 9, 2024 were unanimously decided: At the top of the list is Harald Vilimsky, the previous head of the FPÖ delegation in the EU Parliament. The other places are followed by FPÖ European spokeswoman NAbg. Petra Steger and the two liberal EU MPs Georg Mayer and Roman Haider.
FPÖ federal party chairman NAbg. Herbert Kickl: “With these four candidates we are expressing continuity in patriotic work for the benefit of Austria. Together with a strong FPÖ in Austria at the federal level, we will clamp down on the Eurocrats in Brussels to protect our population. With its first four candidates on the list, the FPÖ is a team that is firmly committed to the fact that Austria should remain a sovereign, independent and neutral state. Unfortunately, all other parties see Austria as a branch of the European Union. So if you mean well for Austria on June 9th, you’ve come to the right place with the FPÖ.”
FPÖ top candidate and MEP Harald Vilimsky thanked the federal party executive for the unanimous trust that he had placed in him: “My and our mission will be to address the EU’s undesirable development even more aggressively, to expand our international alliance once once more and to set the course for the future “To bring EU policy back towards normality.”
