The ones that feel eternal Emil Bulls are back with new music. Their last regular album is already over six years old, and in between there was, among other things, a quite entertaining cover record. Now it offers fresh material from the nu and alternative veterans, who have become an integral part of the heavy microcosm. „Love Will Fix It“ continues on the path of his last works, writes hits and releases hits that combine modern standards with entertaining excursions into a rough past.

The foreshadowing already showed that the quintet has not forgotten anything. The way “The Devil Made Me Do It” first destroys everything before a catchy and harsh chorus follows fits wonderfully into the picture and at the same time offers high entertainment value. Emil Bulls release one broadside following the other and caress their way into the ear canals. “Whirlwind Of Doom”, on the other hand, embeds the anthemic moments much deeper into the arrangement and is all around rough, uncompromising, cleverly playing with core undertones without even remotely turning away from its own sound. The sum of the individual parts is correct.

Exactly this impression runs through the entire record. “She Ain’t Coming Home No More” lets you flex your muscles, is reminiscent of the early work, but also has the melodic qualities of more recent In Flames. The title song “Love Will Fix It” packs an oppressive, almost radio-friendly chorus into a successful alternative rock hit with slight crossover potential, while the opening “Backstabbers” dismantles everything that isn’t on the tree with growing enthusiasm. In “Oceans Of Grief” Emil Bulls even hint at semi-ballad-like patterns at times and gradually shift them into a raw, dynamic breakwater – what a blast.

There are largely no surprises, but Emil Bulls also doesn’t stand still. Instead, “Love Will Fix It” actually manages to find the happy medium from the first second and thus hits open doors. Twelve powerful tracks – sometimes harder, sometimes catchier – use the familiar with a breath of fresh air. The little creative break was audibly good for the quintet, the fresh energy and full commitment are more than welcome. Almost 29 years following their founding, Emil Bulls remain a force.
