Luciano Pereyra was the star who defined Thursday the 11th as the night with the most attendance of the Jesús María 2024 Festival, with an attendance of 19,400 people. The singer considered that being able to enjoy a “beautiful party where the country continues to be made” is “a blessing.”

Standing at the apex of a successful career, Luciano confessed (in a press conference with different media, following his presentation on the Martín Fierro stage) that although one can dream, he did not imagine everything he was going to experience. He considered that his fruits are a gift of life and explained that God was very generous with him, given that he had to live much stronger experiences than those he imagined or expected.

Understanding that music is a difficult path to follow, he linked his triumph with great work and personal dedication over many years. Since he was little, he recalled, he was fascinated by singing, and in addition to training with studies, his sacrifice and merit allowed him to experience the most satisfactory blessing; that of working on what he likes. At first, performing the songs of his godfather Horacio Guarani, then becoming the young man from Chaupi Corazón and today filling stadiums.

“When you do things with pleasure, it becomes more bearable. Out there, scabies doesn’t sting so much, working on what you like is a blessing for me, music is a very hard and sacrificial path, but since I like it, it’s magical,” Luciano reflected.

The artist referred to the collaboration of two songs that he made with the quartet band La Konga, whom he classified as synonyms of “happiness and joy.” Luciano considers it transcendental to understand that the quartet is part of Argentine folklore, so collaborating with one of the bands that best represents the genre internationally was an immense joy and a very fun moment for him.

Luciano referred to the suspension of some festivals due to the economic situation and expressed that it is a situation that makes him very sad, and that the fact that such a broad calendar with programming of Argentine festivals is reduced is an adverse fact for the culture and for the people who work in the festival environment.

However, he declared: “What we are going through now is unfortunate. I think it’s time to adjust a little, to settle in a little. “I think we have been through worse situations, we come from a pandemic where we mightn’t even leave our house.”

As a remedy to the situation, he pointed out that it is important to spread culture through the role that each person plays and enjoying the festivals that do take place.

Among the most iconic moments of his life, he listed having had the opportunity to sing to Pope John Paul II, to Maradona at his tribute match, his collaboration with Juan Gabriel and his ties on stage with Mercedes Sosa and Horacio Guaraní.
