The composition is still loved today.

Soviet cinema is known not only for its excellent actors and strong scripts, but also for its excellent songs. Many works that later became hits were written specifically for certain films.

This happened with the composition, which was performed in 1976 by Alexander Gradsky. The words and music were created by Alexander Pakhmutov and Nikolai Dobronravov for the film “My Love in the Third Year.”

The youth film story tells the story of a student construction team, in which joy and conflict occur. A romantic Komsomol member once morest a pragmatic commander who came to earn money – the ideological background is obvious. Perhaps it was because of her that Yuri Boretsky’s project did not gain much success.

But everyone definitely knows the song “How Young We Were.” It was performed twice in the film: first by Elena Kamburova, then by Alexander Gradsky. The second version became famous throughout the Union, and even now many people remember it fondly.
