A Xiaomi can present interesting news for the category of foldable cell phones throughout this year. According to user information Wisdom Pikachuthe Chinese manufacturer may announce not only a more affordable foldable model, but also a “flip” style device, probably to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip in the market.
To begin with, the lower cost model should follow the lines of previous devices presented by the brand. In other words, a foldable book-shaped design. In addition, the company is also working on the successor to the Mix Fold 3, which should hit the market in the second half of this year.

According to the informant, the model should be equipped with a rear photographic set consisting of four cameras, following the same line as its predecessor. Currently, the device is in the satellite communication testing phase and when it is finally presented, it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform.
The smaller foldable, in turn, should be called Xiaomi Mix Flip and will be equipped with a generation chip prior to Qualcomm’s latest: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Likewise, Wisdom Pikachu states that the model will be launched with a set double set of photographic sensors, but did not provide further details regarding these models.
If you don’t remember, it’s not new that we’ve been talking regarding a Flip model from Xiaomi. In November last year, rumors emerged regarding the device, which also mentioned the same chipset, in addition to the possibility of launching it at a more affordable price. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, in turn, has already been speculated to be the brand’s first foldable to arrive on the global market.
