ASUS has announced the GC-HPCE power interface at Computex 2023, which allows the host version to provide up to 600W of power, eliminating the need for additional power cable connections. ASUS has added the word “BTF” to the model numbers of graphics cards using the GC-HPCE interface. The ROG GeForce RTX 4090 BTF and 4070 Ti SUPER BTF released this time are exactly the same as the non-BTF versions in terms of chip specifications. The only difference is the power supply method.

Unlike ordinary graphics cards that require the use of PCIE or 12VHPWR cables, BTF graphics cards cancel the power connection port. Instead, there is an extra dedicated power pin behind the gold finger of the PCIe x16, which can be supplied through the designated motherboard. 600W of power.

At the same time, ASUS has also launched two compatible motherboards, namely ROG Maximus Z790 HERO BTF and TUF GAMING Z790-BTF WIFI.
