‘Golf Queen’ Se-ri Pak said this on the 10th ahead of the LPGA Tour tournament that she will host in March. On this day, the LPGA Tour announced that the official name of the Se-ri Pak tournament was decided to be the ‘Purhills Se-ri Pak Championship.’ Furhills is an investment company.
This tournament will be held from March 21st to 24th (local time) at Palos Verdes Golf Club near Los Angeles, California, USA. This competition was held last year under the name of the Dio Implant LA Open. This year, Se-ri Pak will serve as the host of the competition. Se-Ri Pak said, “It is an honor to return to the LPGA Tour as a tournament host. “The key is to advise the next golf generation and give back to the golf I love.” He also said, “I plan to incorporate a story related to Korean culture a little differently from previous golf competitions,” and added, “I hope that the path I am taking will be a good guide for my juniors.” Se-ri Pak, who debuted on the LPGA Tour in 1998, retired in 2016 following posting a total of 25 wins, including five major wins.
