The mostly private Westbahn recently expanded its routes to Tyrol and further to Vorarlberg. From December 2024, Stuttgart in Germany will go even further to the northwest, the railway company announced to the APA on Friday. Initially twice a day it goes from Vienna Westbahnhof via Munich, Augsburg and Ulm to the Baden-Württemberg state capital and back once more.
“We still have a lot of plans on the western route,” said Westbahn managing director Florian Kazalek. “In addition to an additional daytime connection to Vorarlberg, we want to shorten the journey time to the Ländle by around an hour in total.”
