This year, celebrities once once more vied for the title of “Lucky Person of the Year” in the beach café on the Old Danube.
Yvonne Rueff and the team from Dancer once morest Cancer invited people to the beach café on the Old Donau for ribs and draft beer. Two tasty reasons to welcome the New Year with a culinary fireworks display for a good cause. The highlight of the DAC New Year’s reception was the election of “Lucky Man of the Year”. The prominent candidates were given a basket of lucky people. Whoever got the most out of it can adorn themselves with this title for a year. Dancing Stars judge Hannes Nedbal was happy regarding the largest mushroom. “Of course I’m happy that I was chosen as the lucky one, even if the outfit is incredibly hot and takes some getting used to. For 2024, I would like Dancer once morest Cancer to become even bigger. That’s why I see myself as an ambassador and want to continue to support them,” said Nedbal.
Donor-happy VIPs
Moderator Andy Lee Lang and DaC boss Yvonne Rueff led through the charity program: “First we checked how serious our guests are regarding their New Year’s resolutions. Anyone who doesn’t implement their good resolutions has to do good and donate something to our club. In Last year, despite crises and high inflation, 60,000 euros were raised for our projects,” said Rueff, thanking all donors and beach café boss Andranik Yeritsyan, who in turn presented her with a donation check for 2,000 euros.
With the net proceeds from the event, Dancer once morest Cancer supports numerous projects for those affected by cancer, such as the expansion of psycho(onco)logical counseling. Cancer patients are considered to be particularly hard hit by the current crises, growing inflation and rapidly rising energy prices.
