Citizens of the Laurentians are complaining regarding their private snow removal contract.

TVA Nouvelles went to Sainte-Sophie to try to ask questions to Yanik Riopel from the BGE landscapement company.

Over the past year, the company has been the subject of several complaints for services not provided to customers, including snow removal, earthworks and fencing.

According to TVA Nouvelles, around ten customers claim to have been cheated by the entrepreneur and his wife for amounts varying from a few hundred dollars to $5,000.

Several customers have complained on social networks and are revolting once morest Yanik Riopelle. Some also claim to have filed a complaint with the Sûreté du Québec.

People are not gentle and customers do not hesitate to talk regarding alleged fraud.

Meanwhile, Yanik Riopel did not blame the complaints on the subcontractors to whom he allegedly entrusted the work.

“The subcontractors closed, and I gave [l’argent] their. They closed, so I can’t go get the money from them. […] It’s hard to get money from subcontractors if they’re not there,” he told TVA Nouvelles.

He assures that he does not owe hundreds of dollars.

“It says at the bottom in the contract “no refunds”. […] If anything happens, he will call the police, he will call the investigator,” he tells our journalist before slamming the door in his face.
