But Andhra Pradesh skipper Hanuma Vihari has brought a rule not to celebrate such individual achievements. Andhra’s side said that no individual achievements should be celebrated this season in Ranji and team achievements should be rejoiced and celebrated.
Andhra Pradesh super batter Ricky Bhui talks regarding this rule in the team. Because of this, Bhui says that when he scored a century once morest Bengal, not a single person in the dressing room clapped. The player scored 175 runs directly off 347 balls in the match.
As a leader, Vihari has told us that there are no personal achievements. Either way, it’s a team effort. When I scored a century, no one clapped. Then it was important to chase the target. That’s what we have to do.

Meanwhile, the Andhra-Bengal match ended in a draw. In the match held in Visakhapatnam, Bengal won the toss and elected to bat and made a huge score of 409 runs in the first innings.
Anushtup Majumdar’s century and Sourav Paul’s half century which went as far as the century gave Bengal a huge score. Majumdar scored 125 runs off 139 balls while Paul scored 96 runs off 232 balls.
Lalit Mohan took four wickets for Andhra Pradesh.
Ricky Bhui scored 175 runs for Andhra in the first innings. Apart from this, captain Hanuma Vihari and Shoaib Khan scored half-centuries as Andhra scored 445 runs.
Bengal, who started batting in the second innings following giving up the lead, were tied at 82 for one.
Andhra’s next match is on January 12. Opponents are strong Mumbai.
