The first half hour was split into two duels, where four contestants fought relentlessly in the hope of impressing the judges Stefano Faita et Martin Picard, and leave with the coveted white apron allowing you to officially enter the competition. Only 16 cooks will have their place in the cohort.
Obviously, we suggest that you do not continue reading if you have not watched the first episode, at the risk of having what happens there revealed to you.
The episode began with a tartar-type confrontation between Mélanie and Yvon, whose comical confidence was quickly shaken by risking burning his croutons. Working more discreetly alongside him, Mélanie seemed more in control… until she, too, charred her croutons.

After tasting, it was ultimately the 61-year-old man’s dish that was preferred by Stefano and Martin. We already feel that Yvon’s sense of humor risks adding color to MasterChef Quebec!
Then, the first episode ended with the preparation of a filet mignon by Fadwa and Stéphane, which kept the viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end, ending in an irrecoverable error on the part of one of the two cooks.
Indeed, the challenge was doubly painful for Fadwa, who unfortunately burned her parmesan in the oven. Despite everything, she managed to finish on time and presented her dish to the judges… but in a twist, Martin Picard found rope in his piece of meat, much to the dismay of the cook.
This is undoubtedly a misstep that might be very costly for him, but what regarding Stéphane’s dish? Will he carve out a place for himself in the adventure or will he manage to commit a blunder similar to that of his opponent?
To find out, you’ll have to tune in to the second episode, tomorrow, Tuesday.
Don’t miss MasterChef Quebec Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m., at VAT and on TVA+.
