The Charleroi firefighters confirm that they were called at 4:56 p.m. for a fire in a four-storey two-storey house on Boulevard Paul Janson in Charleroi. “It’s a roof fire, the roof has broken through and two pumpers are on site”, we are told. Two ladders and a tank were also sent.
Firefighters are currently on site trying to bring the fire under control. We learned around 6:15 p.m. that a person was missing: firefighters were still looking for a person with reduced mobility. But the search was made difficult by the intensity of the fire under the attic.
The floors are difficult to walk on. The occupant of the premises was often hospitalized, but according to the latest investigations by the Charleroi police zone, this person was not in hospital at the time of the fire.
